The Detroit Pistons are desperate to bounce back after one of the most disappointing seasons in the history of the NBA.
Few people expect them to be playoff contenders in 2024-25 but they want to prove they aren’t the team they were last year.
Speaking to SiriusXM NBA Radio, President of Operations Trajan Langdon laid out his view of the team.
He knows a lot of people have counted them out, but he is determined to prove that’s a mistake.
“29 teams have the Pistons circled as an easy win. I’ve told our guys let’s make sure that’s not the case,” Langdon said.
“We’re not giving them anything this year,” he added.

That’s the right sort of attitude but it’ll take more than positive thinking to turn this Pistons teams around.
Last year, they earned just 14 wins and sat at the bottom of the standings.
Some adjustments were made in the summer, including adding new head coach J.B. Bickerstaff.
The roster has some young, undeniable talent but it may be a few more years before they’re ready to truly compete.
On Wednesday night, the Pistons had their first game of the season, playing the Indiana Pacers at home.
They lost by six points but showed some promising signs, including 28 points from Cade Cunningham.
In fact, all five starters were in double digits against the Pacers, who went all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last season.
Langdon swore that teams won’t get easy wins against the Pistons this year.
That was the case on Wednesday evening, but now they have to remain consistent for the rest of the season.
