Donovan Mitchell believes in the Cleveland Cavaliers and has unwavering faith in his teammate.
Mitchell has nothing but immense praise for Darius Garland after the young star’s red-hot start to 2024-25.
According to DylanWDesign on X, via Legion Hoops, Mitchell spoke up about Garland and what’s ahead for him.
“I know it’s only 4 games into the season but he’s gonna keep playing like this and I would like everyone who said he couldn’t to stay over there,” Mitchell said.

It’s nice to see Mitchell support his teammate so much and he has plenty of reasons to make this statement.
During his first four games of the season, Garland has averaged 19.3 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists, shooting 54.7% from the field and 50% from the three-point line.
Although most people see Mitchell as the leader for Cleveland, he has actually taken a step back in some ways and allowed Garland to command the team more.
That approach was on full display Monday night, when Garland posted 34 points against the New York Knicks, helping them score their fourth consecutive win of the young season.
For the last couple of seasons, some Cavaliers fans have complained that there wasn’t a definitive spot for Garland in the lineup.
Upon the arrival of Mitchell, his prominence on the team took a bit of a dip.
Plus, last season he suffered a devasting injury and missed many games, which cast more doubt on his future with the team.
But Garland has been blowing everyone away so far this season and Mitchell believes his strong run has only just begun.
New head coach Kenny Atkinson is putting more responsibilities on Garland, Mitchell is rooting him on, and Cavaliers fans are very happy.
