The Dallas Mavericks easily defeated the Washington Wizards on Monday night, beating them 130-108 and bringing their season total to 25-22.
There were six Mavericks stars in double figures for the night, including Klay Thompson, who posted 23 points, three rebounds, and four assists.
Thompson got off to a red-hot start, making seven three-pointers in the first quarter alone.
Following the game, he spoke about how it felt.
“When you do something like that it reminds you that there’s greatness still within,” Thompson said, via Legion Hoops.

Thompson was 7-of-10 from downtown in the first quarter, giving the team a huge boost in the opening of the game.
For the evening, he concluded with 7-of-12 from beyond the arc.
It was a strong game for Thompson, who is averaging 13.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game this season.
His numbers still aren’t what they were when he played for the Golden State Warriors, but Thompson feels like a good fit in Dallas.
He has had some explosive games, like the one on Monday night, and appears happy within the team’s rotation.
There was a time when he was one of the most dangerous shooters in the league and could never be left alone from the three-point range.
His shot isn’t what it once was (he’s 39.1 percent from the three-point line this year, compared to his career-high of 44 percent during the 2017-18 season), but Thompson still has greatness in him.
Monday night was a nice reminder of what he is capable of, even if he isn’t scoring like this regularly.
The Mavericks are currently the ninth team in the Western Conference with a 25-22 record.
