Giannis Antetokounmpo recently made public remarks that seemed like a joke but have Milwaukee Bucks fans worried.
He mentioned the idea of other superstars beyond Luka Doncic moving around the league and he said it with a smile.
But speaking on “Run It Back,” DeMarcus Cousins suggested that Antetokounmpo might eventually leave the Bucks and head to the Chicago Bulls.
“If this thing doesn’t work out, I can see…him being in a Chicago-type situation, absolutely. It’s right down the street, he’s comfortable in the midwest, and obviously, Chicago is a great market for any superstar,” Cousins said, per NBACentral.
Boogie Cousins believes Giannis could leave Milwaukee if things don’t work out
“As his teammate I learned there’s always truth in his humor…if the Bucks don’t work out, I could absolutely see him in Chicago.”

Cousins played with Antetokounmpo, so he said he knows that all of his jokes have some level of truth in them.
Therefore, he thinks the idea of him leaving the Bucks isn’t that far-fetched.
According to him, Antetokounmpo came close to leaving before, and then Milwaukee won a championship.
Plus, there were a ton of rumors of Antetokounmpo wanting to leave right before the team made a monster trade for Damian Lillard.
The Lillard trade seemed to ease worries about Antetokounmpo, but they are slowly starting to flare up again, especially because the Bucks aren’t where they want to be.
They are currently the fifth team in the East with a 27-22 record.
They just made a move to get Kyle Kuzma, and that may help them out a bit.
But if their situation and standing don’t improve a lot over the next year, we could hear more “jokes” coming from Antetokounmpo.
And those jokes might lead to one of the biggest trades of all time.
Right now, Antetokounmpo seems happy, but Bucks fans will closely monitor every word coming out of his mouth, even if they are told with a smile.
