India and England will square off in the first of three One-Day Internationals at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday.
The visitor, led by Jos Buttler, will be keen to bounce back from the 4-1 series defeat in the T20 Internationals. Meanwhile, India will hope that skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli regain form ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy, set to begin later this month.

England has already named its playing XI for the series opener. Joe Root will be making a comeback to the format for the first time since the ODI World Cup, while pacer Mark Wood has been rested.
For India, a question mark hangs over the wicketkeeper’s slot, with Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul in the race for a spot in the playing XI.
