The Golden State Warriors continue to struggle to find consistency this season.
They’ve been a .500 team for most of the campaign, and that’s not going to get the job done in the Western Conference.
They’re currently 11th in the West after a 25-point loss to the Phoenix Suns.
That’s why head coach Steve Kerr admits that something has to change with the NBA trade deadline approaching.
“We’re not in a position where we can say, ‘Nah, we’re good. Let’s stand pat.’ That’s the reality of where we are,” Kerr said, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Notably, the Warriors have gone back and forth regarding this issue.
While Stephen Curry has been visibly frustrated with the team’s struggles, he recently admitted that the franchise wouldn’t be in a good position if it mortgaged its future to try to make a championship run this season.
The Warriors possess some intriguing young talent, yet those players may not be prepared to contribute immediately.
Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski could draw some strong interest on the trade market.
Then again, it’s not like there are many star players available who could be realistic targets for the Warriors.
Jimmy Butler, Zach LaVine or Bradley Beal might be available, but whether they would be what Golden State needs to get over the top is debatable.
The truth is that while the Warriors aim to return to their championship-winning ways, they might struggle to achieve that with their current roster construction.
