India registered the highest team total by a full-member nation in T20Is after it scored 297 for six against Bangladesh during a match in Hyderabad in October.
During the fifth T20I against England, India breached the 140-run mark within 10 overs, which included Abhishek Sharma scoring a 37-ball century.
At Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, India also broke the record for the highest total scored at the ground in T20 Internationals after the side posted 247. The previous highest total was 240, also scored by India, in 2019 during a match against West Indies.
