Throughout history, the New York Knicks have had some sworn enemies.
Alonzo Mourning always gave them trouble, even trying to fight Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy.
Larry Bird and Michael Jordan tormented them with their epic performances during perhaps their most competitive era.
Reggie Miller was also infamous at the Madison Square Garden, and Knicks fans still don’t seem to be too fond of him to this day.
It’s Trae Young’s turn to get the best of them now.
The Atlanta Hawks point guard usually delivers when he goes against the Knicks, and that was the case again on Wednesday night.
Led by Young’s 22 points and 11 assists, the Hawks took down the Knicks on the road to secure a spot in the NBA Emirates Cup’s semifinal.
Young walked over to the Knicks logo and pretended to <a href="https://sports-info.online/2025/01/24/nba/jalen-brunson-reacts-to-trae-youngs-disrespectful-move-on-knicks-logo/” title=”Jalen Brunson Reacts To Trae Young's Disrespectful Move On Knicks' Logo”>shoot dice on it as the clock struck zero, prompting a wave of jeers and cursing.
Even so, as much as he loves to tease them, Young still feels for them.
Talking to The Athletic, the Hawks star admitted having a “love-hate relationship with them.”

Young is one of the most talented players in the game, but he’s also the kind of athlete who seems to feed off criticism and hatred.
He doesn’t shy away from confrontation; he embraces it.
Until the final days of his career, he will likely give the Knicks his best effort.
It’ll be interesting to see where he ranks on their list of most-hated villains once it’s all said and done.
