After weeks of speculation, negative headlines, and two suspensions, it is very obvious that the Miami Heat would like to part ways with Jimmy Butler.
But just because Butler wishes to leave the team and they are hoping to say goodbye to him doesn’t mean a trade will happen.
However, one team is becoming the clear favorite to acquire Butler.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, via Evan Sidery, the Phoenix Suns are now the significant betting favorites to become Butler’s next team.
They currently hold -350 odds, while the Heat come in second place with +300.

The Suns have been at the forefront of the Butler saga for some time.
This week, things were taken up a notch when the Suns made some clever moves that would give them more freedom and strength before the upcoming trade deadline.
They are obviously setting the stage to acquire Butler, but they need the Heat to agree and commit to a trade.
The Suns have been hoping to change their roster recently, and the idea of Butler being in their lineup is very appealing.
He could play expertly alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker and seems very excited about doing that.
There is still a lot to work out and it sounds like any potential trade will involve more than just the Suns and Heat.
It could be a very complicated package that moves around several players.
Things could fall apart, and this deal might not ever come together, but Butler seems to be on his way to Phoenix.
