The NBA has changed a lot over the past decade.
Steph Curry is credited with changing the game in a major way, as the three-pointer has become a staple of this league.
The three-point line has been around for a while, but Curry showed that it was possible to take shots from seemingly anywhere on the court, making a high percentage of them.
Since the emergence of Curry, more and more players have gotten confident in their abilities from deep, letting it fly and hoping they can make a few shots along the way.
Curry’s 3,841 (and counting) career three-pointers is a record that many believe will not be touched, as he has been so good in this area for so long.
He might not be able to be caught, but a former teammate of his, Klay Thompson, is moving up in the record books.
As the NBA on ESPN pointed out on X, Thompson recently surpassed Reggie Miller for the fifth-most made three-pointers in league history.

Now, the only players above Thompson are Damian Lillard, Ray Allen, James Harden, and Curry.
This is an elite list to be a part of, as all of these athletes have dominated from beyond the arc.
Fans weren’t necessarily sure what to make of Thompson when he joined the Dallas Mavericks in the offseason, but he has been a strong addition alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Having a strong three-point shooter on your roster has proven to be essential in today’s game, and Thompson certainly provides that value to the Mavericks.
