Sacramento Kings head coach Doug Christie has been on the job for less than a week, but during that short amount of time, he has worked a lot with De’Aaron Fox.
The Kings’ biggest star impresses just about all NBA fans with his terrific and explosive energy.
Speaking to the press, via the NBA on X, Christie called Fox “elite” and praised his “quickness, strength, and athleticism.”
He also celebrated Fox’s “anticipation” skills and his “competitive nature,” which are both high level.
Christie said he hugged Fox and thanked him for taking him and all of Sacramento on an amazing ride.
“De’Aaron Fox is elite.”

Kings fans are hoping this ride isn’t coming to an end.
For the last several weeks, there have been increasingly loud rumors about Fox possibly leaving the Kings before the season is done.
With a troubled record and a noticeable step down from last season, the Kings aren’t looking like one of the best teams in the West anymore.
This has led many to wonder what Fox will do: stay or go?
Some people thought the firing of Mike Brown would help ease worries and give Fox a reason to stick around longer.
But the rumors persist and the future seems uncertain.
Christie obviously wants to keep working with Fox and is blown away by what he can do on the court.
However, even the kindest words might not keep Fox around if he feels he has a better chance of winning with another team.
Christie likes coaching Fox and wants to work with him for a long time, but will he get his wish?
