It’s been a tough month for fans of the Dallas Mavericks.
Not only did they lose the future of their franchise in a shocking trade, but multiple players on the roster have been injured, and they are clinging to the tenth spot in the West.
On Monday, they were given more bad news when the team announced that season ticket prices would increase by eight percent next season, per WFAA.
According to ClutchPoints, the Adelson family claims this increase is necessary because of “ongoing investments in the team and fan engagement,” but that reason falls short for many.
Will people buy season tickets at a higher price when they’re not sure what the future of the team looks like?
The Dallas Mavericks announced an 8% season ticket increase for the 2025-26 NBA season, per @wfaa.
In one month, the Mavs traded the face of their franchise in Luka Doncic to the Lakers, had fans openly revolt, and are now increasing ticket prices.

This is a really bad time for the team to announce this sort of price hike.
No matter the reason, the Adelson family needed to consider how this would look to the people who are still reeling from the loss of Luka Doncic.
Since Doncic’s move, the Los Angeles Lakers have gone 7-2 and climbed to the second seed in the Western Conference.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks have lost multiple big names due to injuries and have had a 6-7 record.
There are so many questions and concerns about what’s ahead for the Mavericks.
Will they add more talent in the summer?
Will Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, and the other injured stars be able to rebound and make an impact in the playoffs?
Dallas fans have always been loyal, but this price increase may test their loyalty, especially after the very disappointing month they have just been through.
