The New York Knicks made two big moves to propel their championship chances this season.
Landing Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges uplifted their floor and ceiling, and they should be in the conversation right now for a title.
Nonetheless, with the way they’ve struggled against the best teams in the league this season, there are also some major reasons to be worried about them.
At least, that’s how Brian Windhorst feels.
Talking on ESPN, the renowned analyst explained that even if Mitchell Robinson is inching closer to making his season debut, that will force Tom Thibodeau to move Karl-Anthony Towns back to the power forward spot, and that’s going to be a big adjustment to make.

In addition, Windhorst pointed out that they will most likely have to play on the road in the playoffs to get past the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, and they’ve struggled against both of those teams this season.
All in all, the Knicks are a very talented team, and they’re much deeper than they’ve been in years past.
Nevertheless, they might still not be on the same tier as other championship-caliber teams.
They’re most definitely on the right path, and perhaps adding another piece or two will be just what they need to get the monkey off their backs and return to the NBA Finals for the first time since the ’90s.
Still, barring a major turn of events or some shortcomings from the top teams in the East, that might not be the case this season.
