The Philadelphia 76ers suffered another stinging defeat on Tuesday evening when they were taken down 106-103 by the Toronto Raptors.
There was a pivotal moment in the fourth quarter when Joel Embiid committed a turnover just seconds after not taking what could have been a crucial three-pointer.
Following the game, Embiid talked to the press about that play and how “tough” it was.
“Tough one. Wide open, gotta shoot that one. … Down two, I thought I could just step in and shoot the midrange. … Take the easy ones and live with it,” Embiid said, per ClutchPoints.

Sixers fans have probably rewatched this moment again and again since Tuesday night.
After receiving an assist from Tyrese Maxey, Embiid suffered a moment of hesitation when he could have attempted a three.
That would have changed everything, but Embiid instead chose to drive to the basket.
That is when he met Toronto’s defense, who stole the ball.
Looking at the final three-point margin of victory, it’s hard to not think of how important this was.
But Embiid is attempting to move beyond it and not beat himself up too much.
He put up 27 points and 12 rebounds for the game, which was just his 17th of the season.
Embiid has been ramping back up to 100 percent and has played in four games since his return after a month-long absence.
The Sixers are happy to have him back, but they have a lot of work to do.
They are the 11th team in the East with a 20-33 record, so they need to rack up as many wins as possible.
If that’s going to happen, misreads and mistakes like this just cannot happen.
