“The news is right (clearing the bowling test), and I am cleared to bowl again,” Shakib was quoted as saying. However, he did not disclose where he took his third reassessment.
Shakib last played in Bangladesh’s Test series against India in October 2024. He was suspended from bowling last December after his action was deemed illegal in an English County game for Surrey.
His initial reassessment in Chennai in January failed, ruling him out of the ICC Champions Trophy.
With Bangladesh set to tour Sri Lanka for ODIs, Shakib could return, having gone unsold in the IPL and PSL drafts.
