D’Angelo Russell has been with the Brooklyn Nets for a few months and he seems to be happy back with his former team.
But will he try to stick around in Brooklyn or move to another franchise when he can?
According to new reporting from Brian Lewis of the New York Post, Russell is satisfied with how often he has the ball and his leadership role.
“Russell — whose 8.7 assists per 100 possessions with the Lakers were his worst since his rookie season — has handed out a dozen per 100 since joining the Nets, the best in his career by a huge margin. With the ball in his hands and a leadership role, Russell is believed to have told those around him he wants to stay,” Lewis wrote, per NBACentral.
D’Angelo Russell reportedly wants to stay in Brooklyn because he has more control of the ball, per @nypost

Russell just missed several games because of an injury but was on the court for the Nets on Tuesday for their games against the San Antonio Spurs.
During that game, Russell posted 12 points and four assists.
Since coming back to the Nets in December, Russell has worked up an average of 13.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 5.7 assists on 38.0 percent from the field.
His last few months with the Lakers were complicated.
His role had changed, he was sharing ball-handling responsibilities more often with LeBron James and Austin Reaves, and his output was inconsistent.
His time in the starting five was also inconsistent and he was no longer a guaranteed starter.
Therefore, it wasn’t shocking when he was sent to the Nets but everyone wondered if he would want to stay.
If he continues to play the role he has been, Russell might be in Brooklyn for the long haul.
