When Kentavious Caldwell-Pope signed a deal with the Orlando Magic in the summer, fans thought he would bring a level of experience and sharpshooting skill that would take the team to the next level.
That may end up being the truth but, so far, Caldwell-Pope has had a very troubled season.
According to Evan Sidery, the star player is having one of his worst seasons ever for the Magic.
He is averaging 8.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists on a 54.4 true shooting percentage and 41.3 percent from the field.
All of his numbers have dipped, and fans are begging for Caldwell-Pope to create more magical moments for Orlando.
After signing a three-year, $66 million deal with the Magic, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is putting together one of the worst seasons of his career:
8.6 points
2.1 rebounds
1.8 assists
54.4 TS%
41.3 FG%

He came to the Magic after a couple of great seasons with the Denver Nuggets, where he averaged 10.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists on 46.1 percent from the field and 41.5 percent from the three-point line.
For most of his career, he has been a trusted and proven shooter who can start with a team or come off the bench.
He has been with several squads, won two championships, and has played for 11 seasons, which made him even more appealing for the Magic.
They believed that he could showcase a level of expertise that would positively impact the young Magic roster.
There is a lot of promise with the team and some fans feel they need a veteran player to guide them.
That was supposed to be Caldwell-Pope’s role, but things haven’t worked out as planned, at least so far.
There is still time in the season, and he may bounce back.
But until then, fans will be waiting to see more from Caldwell-Pope.
