We may never know all the details of what happened behind the scenes when the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks were negotiating the trade featuring Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis.
According to most reports, very few people knew what was going down, but Davis doesn’t believe that.
Speaking about the trade, Davis revealed that he thinks more people were involved.
“Everybody’s saying nobody knew and all this other s—. I just don’t believe it,” Davis said, per Legion Hoops.

The reporting at the time said that everyone was caught off-guard by the trade.
Doncic didn’t see it coming, nor did Davis or any of their teammates.
In fact, no agents knew anything either, and they all received a call after the Lakers and Mavericks agreed to terms.
At least that is what was told, but Davis thinks that something else was happening.
No matter what occurred, the bottom line is that Davis’ life has been thrown upside down over the last month, and now he lives in a completely different city and plays for a totally different team.
Unfortunately, Davis has only played one game for his Mavericks because of an injury, but he put up big numbers, posting 26 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists.
The hope is that he can be back soon and will assist the Mavericks in pushing into the postseason.
There have been many conspiracy theories about this trade and who knew what, and it’s clear that Davis believes the whole truth isn’t being told.
But the Lakers and Mavericks will likely remain silent on the matter and won’t be giving more information, which will only create more rumors.
