Luka Doncic has now played four games with the Los Angeles Lakers, and he has already proven that he’s a vital part of the team.
Following the team’s latest big win over the Denver Nuggets, head coach JJ Redick spoke about his plans for Doncic running the offense with Austin Reaves and LeBron James.
“You know, I think, Luka needs to be the guy who controls the offense, LeBron and AR, because we gonna stagger everybody, they gonna have their times when they’re gonna be on the ball,” Redick said, per SLO HOOPS FAN.

Doncic’s latest game had him scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.
That was a great showing from Doncic, and he looked more comfortable than ever before with the Lakers.
But one of the most wonderful things about the game was how he, Reaves, and James all shared ball-handling abilities.
And, unsurprisingly, they all scored more than 20 points during the game.
This may have been a taste of things to come, and LA fans should expect to see Doncic, Reaves, and James all run the ball, make plays, and set the tempo.
This is a bit of a difference from Doncic’s time in Dallas, when he was usually conducting the offense for the Mavericks, although he did share that responsibility with Jalen Brunson and Kyrie Irving at times.
When Doncic came to LA, people weren’t sure how he would work alongside these two other stars but Saturday night gave everyone a good look at what may be the next chapter of Lakers basketball.
