The Los Angeles Lakers have a new superstar, and their old superstar couldn’t be any happier.
Luka Doncic just had his best game with his new team, and LeBron James had some rather interesting comments about their chemistry.
He claimed that Doncic was a natural quarterback and he was a natural wide receiver, which is why they were going to get along just fine.
With that in mind, NBA analyst Alan Hahn claimed that Doncic might be the best teammate fit James has ever had in his career, even better than Dwyane Wade (via NBA Central).
“You can argue Luka might be the better fit with LeBron than anybody he’s ever played with, including Dwyane Wade.” 👀

Talking on ESPN, he argued that Doncic’s court vision and perimeter game make him a better fit next to James than any of the teammates he’s ever had.
Given the plethora of Hall of Fame-caliber talent James has played with, that’s a big statement.
Then again, from a basketball perspective, it might not be entirely wrong.
For starters, they both play similar styles.
They’re both big forwards with a point guard’s vision and playmaking skills, and they both know how to maximize the pieces around them.
However, even at this age, James might be in better shape than most NBA players, including Doncic.
So, having a player of Doncic’s caliber running the offense allows James to ‘run routes’ on the court and find himself open on the fast-break.
Doncic might help extend James’ career for an extra couple of years, and he might now even get to play with his other son as well.
