Virat Kohli became the most successful Indian fielder in terms of catches in One-Day International cricket during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday.
Kohli claimed his 157th catch in the format to go past Mohammad Azharuddin’s record of 156 catches.
Ahead of the game, he needed one more catch to complete this feat. He reached it when Naseem Shah charged Kuldeep Yadav down the track and ended up chipping the ball in the air. Kohli had to run in front and dive to grab it. He eventually took one more catch in the innings.
