The Minnesota Timberwolves walked away with a stinging defeat on Friday night, losing 121-115 to the Houston Rockets.
It was a tough night for the team and its lead star, Anthony Edwards, even though he put up 37 points.
There was a particularly intense moment in the middle of the game when Edwards got into a verbal spat with a fan.
A video shared by Courtside Buzz on X featured Edwards yelling at the fan and needing to be held back by coaches before things escalated.

It’s not obvious what Edwards and the fan were fighting about, but it looks very confrontational and like the situation could have gotten much worse in no time at all.
A fight between Edwards and a fan would have turned the night from bad to worse.
Edwards has never been one to hold back his feelings about himself, his teammates, or his opponents.
So it’s not surprising to see him bring that same sort of energy to a fan.
If things had come to blows, Edwards would have faced a fine and suspension as well.
But Edwards is used to fines and has received several throughout his career, including this year for speaking his mind following games.
Thankfully for everyone involved, this moment didn’t spiral out of control.
It would have been a bad look for Edwards, and it would have hurt his team when they need him most.
They are attempting to climb higher than seventh place in the standings, which means they need everyone playing to the best of their abilities.
Now is not the time for Edwards or anyone in Minnesota to miss games because of an emotional mistake.
