There was hope that Bojan Bogdanovic could bring his veteran experience to the Brooklyn Nets this season and help boost their spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
That hope will have to wait for next season.
According to Shams Charania, Bogdanovic will undergo foot surgery and will miss the rest of 2024–25.
That means he hasn’t played with the Nets at all this year and last suited up in April of 2024, when he was still with the New York Knicks.
Brooklyn Nets forward Bojan Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending foot surgery, sources tell ESPN. Bogdanovic last played on April 28, 2024 for the Knicks before having an initial surgery on his left foot.

We don’t have definitive information about which foot is hurt, but Bogdanovic’s past suggests it is his left one bothering him again.
He underwent surgeries on his left foot and his left wrist last spring and has been recuperating ever since.
When the Nets acquired Bogdanovic, they knew it would be some time before he’d be ready to play again.
Indeed, today’s news is not that surprising, but it is disappointing.
It’s also concerning because Bogdanovic is now 35 years old, which means he is getting closer to retirement.
Is there a chance that he never joins the Nets or any other NBA team and simply hangs up his instead?
During his 10 years in the NBA, he has averaged 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, shooting 46.0 percent from the field.
He actually got his start with the Nets, and they were his first team in the NBA back in 2014.
Now more than a decade later, fans were excited to see Bogdanovic return with years of experience under his belt.
Unfortunately, his future remains murky as his foot issues continue to slow him down.
