It has been a couple of weeks, but the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers traded Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks for Luka Doncic is still unfathomable.
We’re all trying to make sense of it, though we probably never will.
No one has ever seen a trade like this, and it’s hard to imagine what went through these players’ minds when they found out they had been traded.
Former NFL legend DeSean Jackson has a little insight into how AD felt after hearing the news.
In a recent appearance on The Big Podcast with Shaquille O’Neal, Jackson said he talked to Anthony Davis about the trade while he was at the Mavericks’ game against the Philadelphia 76ers the other day.
“You could just tell in his face, He was like, yeah, ‘they got me up outta there,” Jackson said.

Davis got off to a dominant start in the first half of a game with the Mavericks before leaving with an adductor injury that will now reportedly keep him out of action for about a month.
The Mavericks have been dogging Luka on the way out in an effort to try to get the fans back on their side and help them understand why they made the trade, but it’s not helping at all.
Questioning Luka’s conditioning and nutrition habits after he led his team to the NBA Finals at age 25 is a bad look, but hopefully, for Mavericks fans, this works out, and they can all look back and laugh about it in a few years.
