The Los Angeles Lakers have been through a lot of changes, and some people feel they have never looked better.
Patrick Beverley spoke about the Lakers on his podcast recently, per NBACentral, and said they are incredibly stacked right now.
He mentioned that Jaxson Hayes has received a shot in the arm after becoming the team’s prominent big man, Austin Reaves is an amazing third option, and Rui Hachimura is doing great things as the team’s fourth-best player.
Meanwhile, Beverley agrees with everyone that the pairing of LeBron James and Luka Doncic could be downright magical for the team.

There is no doubt the team is missing Anthony Davis and his special brand of frontcourt assistance, but they are in a strong position right now.
Of course, there are questions about the Lakers’ defense, but when the team has such a good setup with offense, it’s silly to count them out.
Beverley is one of many people who like the Lakers’ chances this year, but how far can they go?
Even with James, Doncic, Hayes, Reaves, and Hachimura, a lot of people think they are just one or two roster adjustments away from being true championship contenders again.
What will the summer bring, and what can Rob Pelinka do?
Will they get their missing piece?
If they improve their frontcourt, many more people will agree with Beverley and say the Lakers are looking terrific.
There is no doubt they are headed in the right direction, but are they at the level they need to be?
