Once again, the Phoenix Suns haven’t been able to live up to expectations.
They’re currently two games below .500 and No. 11 in the Western Conference.
Clearly, replacing a championship-winning coach like Frank Vogel wasn’t the answer, and not even another former NBA champion like Mike Budenholzer could help them.
That’s why Kendrick Perkins believes they’re a ‘disaster.’
Talking on ESPN’s “Get Up,” the former NBA champion stated that the Suns weren’t a playoff-caliber team, adding that they were the second-biggest disappointment in the NBA behind the Philadelphia 76ers.

Then again, unlike the Sixers, the Suns have been healthy for most of the season.
Bradley Beal is one of the highest earners in the game, and having him average roughly 17 points per game doesn’t do much to help their case.
Devin Booker and Kevin Durant continue to get their usual numbers, but those don’t translate into wins.
Not even adding a traditional point guard to the mix has helped their case.
This is reminiscent of what happened with Durant when he was with the Brooklyn Nets, and while he’s clearly a first-ballot Hall of Famer, logging back-to-back failed superteams will always be a bit of a stain on his résumé.
There are still more than 20 games left in the regular season, and they’re talented enough to go on a run.
Nevertheless, they also have the toughest remaining schedule in the NBA.
And judging by how they’ve fared this season, it’s very difficult to be optimistic about their playoff chances right now.
