Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs is considered the best young player of his generation and knows a thing or two about the NBA and its stars.
Even after two seasons, he’s a proven basketball expert.
So it’s worth asking who he considers underrated.
The NBA on TNT asked Wembanyama who he views as the most underrated player in the league, and Wembanyama came up with a surprising answer: LeBron James.
He confirmed that he thinks James, even with all his accolades and awards, is still underrated, according to a video shared by Legion Hoops.

Wembanyama didn’t divulge any more information about his choice, so we don’t know what exactly makes James underrated.
But Wembanyama feels the Los Angeles Laker superstar doesn’t get enough respect.
Of course, James has done just about everything during his many years in the NBA and is a four-time champion and four-time MVP with 20 All-Star appearances and a place on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
He’s constantly referred to as perhaps the greatest basketball star of all time, so how can he really be underrated?
Perhaps Wembanyama is saying this because James still receives his fair share of criticism.
People like to critique every single part of his game and he has people who vehemently claim he’s not better than Michael Jordan.
Maybe that is why Wembanyama thinks he remains underrated.
At 40 years old, James has had an NBA career that people can only dream of.
Underrated or overrated, his spot in league history is secure, and he has influenced and inspired a brand new generation of stars like Wembanyama.
