English leg-spinner Adil Rashid dismissed Indian batter Virat Kohli for the 11th time in international cricket, during the third ODI between the two sides in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
Only two other bowlers – New Zealand’s Tim Southee and Australia’s Josh Hazlewood – have dismissed Kohli as many times as Rashid across all formats. Kohli has fallen prey to Rashid five times in ODIs, four times in Tests and twice in T20Is.
In Ahmedabad, the Indian batter was snared by a looped-up delivery from Rashid, which spun sharply to take the outside edge and was gathered by wicket-keeper Phil Salt.
In the second ODI, in Cuttack, Kohli suffered the same fate – caught behind against Rashid.
