The Golden State Warriors just lost another game they could’ve and should’ve won.
They blew a lead late in the game to drop one to the struggling Utah Jazz, even though Lauri Markkanen was unavailable.
Perhaps the Warriors weren’t locked in and focused on the game.
However, it’s hard to blame them.
Three of their players, Dennis Schroder, Andrew Wiggins, and Kyle Anderson were traded shortly before tip-off.
That’s why coach Steve Kerr urged the league to do something about this.
After the loss, the future Hall of Fame coach claimed that the <a href="https://sports-info.online/2025/01/14/nba/lakers-bring-back-1-former-starter-after-g-league-practice/” title=”Lakers Bring Back 1 Former Starter After G League Practice”>trade deadline should occur during the All-Star break (via Legion Hoops).
Steve Kerr wants the NBA to move the trade deadline to the All-Star break to avoid players getting traded before or during games.

That way, the players would not have to find out about trades before, during, or after games.
That makes sense.
It would be pushing it just for another week, so that wouldn’t change the equation that much.
Kerr, as a former player, is well aware of the emotional toll that the trade deadline can take on a player.
Granted, some NBA players make more money in a year than some people make in their lifetime, but they’re still human beings, first and foremost.
Kerr was reportedly emotional when he addressed his team before the game.
This is a business, and as such, it can be cruel at times.
Then again, it seems like they could do a little more to make this a little more human.
