After weeks and weeks of negative headlines and endless speculation, Jimmy Butler has found a new NBA home with the Golden State Warriors.
There have been questions and concerns about Butler and how he will fit with the team.
On Thursday evening, Draymond Green spoke about Butler’s presence on the Warriors and general manager Mike Dunleavy’s quest to acquire Butler.
“He made a move for us, to help us. It’s on us to make him right,” Green said, per Anthony Slater.

Dunleavy has been open about his friendship with Butler.
They played together years ago and Dunleavy feels he knows and understands him.
But even though Dunleavy has good feelings about Butler, that doesn’t mean he will work with the Warriors.
Some people have said the swap of Andrew Wiggins for Butler doesn’t make a lot of sense and signing Butler to a multi-year deal wasn’t a smart move.
There is a potential for serious upside with Butler, of course, especially during the postseason.
If the team is able to see “Playoff Jimmy,” then they will be very happy with this trade.
But if he doesn’t easily and quickly slide into the team’s rotation and plans, the Warriors might continue to struggle.
They are now 25-26 and the 11th seed in the West after Thursday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
That means they don’t have any time to waste, and Butler will have to get to work right away if Golden State has any chance of reaching the postseason.
Green said it’s up to the rest of the team to prove Dunleavy right and show the world that this trade was wise.
It is time for everyone to work together, bring Butler into the fold, and get things back on track.
