The Golden State Warriors started this season with 12 wins in their first 15 games, which sparked some talk that they had resurrected themselves, but ever since, it has become clear that they’re the same Warriors who missed the playoffs last season.
Stephen Curry’s scoring average is lower than it has been in a while, and overall, they’re struggling offensively, which has highlighted their need for a true second star next to Curry.
The team is hoping for a big trade that could reopen their championship window, and per Brett Siegel, they have been talking to the Chicago Bulls about trying to acquire veteran stars Zach LaVine and Nikola Vučević.
In particular, the talks involving LaVine may be getting a bit serious.
“The Bulls and Warriors have held significant trade conversations through the weeks, sources said, with the focus on LaVine and Nikola Vučević…Nonetheless, talks of LaVine heading to Golden State are very real and gaining momentum.”

Either LaVine or Vucevic, at least on paper, seem to have the ability to take the Warriors up a notch or two in the always-competitive Western Conference.
LaVine is having arguably his best season ever, as he’s averaging 24.0 points a game and shooting a career-high percentage from both the field and 3-point range.
He has been injury-prone over the years, but he is a very potent guard who can also provide highlight dunks every now and then, as well as even some supplementary playmaking.
Vucevic is up there in age at 34, and while he is somewhat lacking defensively, he’s putting up 19.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game and is a high-efficiency player, especially from beyond the 3-point line.
Now that Curry is approaching his 37th birthday, the clock is ticking for him and his team as far as trying to win yet another NBA championship.
