On Tuesday morning, it was revealed that the Miami Heat were changing their asking price for Jimmy Butler in an attempt to make a trade happen before next week.
Within hours, a number of teams started to make noise about trying to acquire Butler.
According to Kevin O’Connor, per NBACentral, the Golden State Warriors are “back in the mix” for Butler after Miami’s decision.
They were looking into trading for Butler a few weeks ago, but things fell apart because of the Heat’s demands.
Do they have a better shot at getting him this time?

The Warriors really like the idea of Butler playing alongside Steph Curry and they think he could be the missing piece they have needed.
With his mix of veteran experience and skill, Butler might be a huge boost to the Warriors.
The problem before was that the Heat weren’t willing to take a small package in exchange for Butler.
They wanted win-now talent and draft picks, and the Warriors just weren’t willing to give up some of the young stars they think can lead the team in a post-Curry era.
But now the Heat are listening to all offers, and the Warriors might just have what it takes to win them over.
Of course, now there could be more competition for Butler.
The Phoenix Suns are keen on signing him, of course, but other teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies are interested in him too.
The situation has changed a lot, and the Warriors will need to consider that when they make an offer for Butler.
