On Tuesday, the Phoenix Suns traded their 2031 first-round draft pick to the Utah Jazz for three first-round picks.
On the surface, it may have looked like a minor move, but it actually set the Suns up for a busy trade deadline.
Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Ryan McDonough said there will be at least one more deal from the Suns in the weeks ahead.
“I don’t think we’ve heard the last of the Phoenix Suns,” McDonough said.
“I think there will be at least a deal, probably a few deals, potentially from Phoenix over the next two weeks”

Turning one draft pick into three sets the stage for the Suns to possibly acquire Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat soon.
It’s no secret that the Suns want Butler and it’s also no secret that Butler wishes to team up with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
This gives the Suns more assets to ship around the league as part of any deal that gets them Butler.
But that’s not the only thing they want to do before the February 6 deadline.
They are also intent on moving away from Jusuf Nurkic and one of these draft picks could be part of a trade package involving him too
The Suns have a lot of items on their agenda and they are getting ready to check them off.
But how much success will they have?
It takes at least two teams to make a deal and other front offices might not be as eager as the Suns and could drive a hard bargain.
It appears as if they are preparing for a lot of activity but the Sun may hit a wall if the rest of the league doesn’t cooperate with them.
