Niki Prasad will lead the India squad for the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup, set to be held from 18 January in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the BCCI announced on Tuesday.
Niki and Co. recently won the inaugural U-19 Women’s Asia Cup 2024, defeating Bangladesh in the final held at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
India, the defending champion, is placed in Group A alongside Malaysia, West Indies, and Sri Lanka. The Niki-led side will begin its campaign on 19 January against the West Indies.
The tournament features four groups, with the top three teams from each group advancing to the Super Six stage, followed by the semi-finals and final, scheduled for 31 January.
