Jalen Brunson is one of the most vital players for the New York Knicks and one of the most celebrated guards in the NBA.
He’s known for his terrific shooting skills, his leadership abilities, and the way he messes with other teams’ defensive plans.
Speaking on the “Club 520” podcast, via Knicks Fan TV, Jeff Teague said he nearly tore his ACL a few years ago when he was trying to guard Brunson.
Teague was attempting to guard Brunson but was hit with a jab-step move that left him spinning.
Teague is laughing about it now but he admits that Brunson could have seriously injured him because of his speed and unpredictability.

To make matters even worse, Brunson’s father, Rick, was an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves at the time.
He had actually warned Teague to be careful around Brunson and said he should be taken seriously.
That wasn’t just a dad bragging about his son; it was good advice.
Everyone on the podcast agreed that Brunson is a “dawg” who is built to play.
The Knicks know that very well.
This season, Brunson is averaging 25.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 7.7 assists on 48.9 percent from the field and 43.2 percent from the three-point line.
He has been the team’s leader since joining back in 2022-23 and has helped turn the Knicks into one of the most talked about, exciting teams in the East.
With the addition of Karl-Anthony Towns this year, it seems that Brunson is even more comfortable on the court and producing great lobs and smart shots for the Knicks.
He’s just as tenacious and tough as ever before and still messing with other players as he did with Teague years ago.
