The trade rumors surrounding Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler continue to heat up, and it is believed that his most preferred destination in a potential trade is the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns have been hoping to land Butler with a package surrounding guard Bradley Beal, but the Heat don’t seem enticed, at least not yet.
Pulling off such a trade would be extremely complicated for both parties, and one reason why is Beal’s no-trade clause, which is an extremely hard-to-come-by clause in the NBA.
A recent report indicated that he would be willing to waive that no-trade clause to go to the Heat and a couple of other teams, but his agent said that report isn’t true and that he is focused on helping the Suns improve, per NBACentral.

Both this season and last, the Suns were expected by many to be championship contenders, but they got swept in the first round of last season’s playoffs and currently have a 21-21 record.
While they haven’t been healthy that often, there is now a realization that their roster simply isn’t strong enough from top to bottom to win a lot of games, especially when things matter most.
This week, Phoenix traded their 2031 first-round pick to the Utah Jazz for three other first-round picks, which has reignited speculation that they will try to move a package centered around Beal in order to get Butler.
Butler, 35, has helped the Heat overachieve over the previous five seasons and reach the NBA Finals twice, and if he’s gettable, he could be the man Phoenix needs to get over the hump.
