There are only three undefeated teams in the NBA coming into Wednesday’s slate of games, with one of those three teams being quite a surprise, as the Cleveland Cavaliers have won all four games they’ve played thus far.
The other two undefeated teams aren’t all that surprising, with the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics being 4-0 and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Oklahoma City Thunder squad sporting a record of 3-0.
The Cavaliers were thought to be a team on the verge of breaking up their talented core of players this past NBA offseason, with all the talk surrounding superstar guard Donovan Mitchell’s immediate future with the team.
Fortunately for Cleveland, the team was able to stay intact, and so far, that has looked to be the right course of action by the franchise and its star players, with the Cavaliers looking as good as any team in the league right now, which was echoed by Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett via All the Smoke Productions.
“The Cavs look good,” Garnett said. “Cavs look good, dawg.”
Are the Cavaliers serious contenders in the Eastern Conference?
Cleveland has started off hot, including a win at MSG against the Knicks on Monday night.

On Wednesday night, Mitchell and company will put that undefeated record to the test, with Cleveland icon LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers coming to the Rocket Mortage FieldHouse to take on the Cavaliers.
Much like the Cavaliers, the Lakers have played well so far this season, coming into this matchup with a record of 3-1, with their only loss coming against the Phoenix Suns earlier this week at the Footprint Center in Arizona.
