For the last couple of seasons, the Utah Jazz have been quietly making deals behind the scenes.
But this season, they might do something much larger and more ground-shaking than that.
Evan Sidery said that the Jazz have begun shopping Collin Sexton, John Collins, and Jordan Clarkson on the trade market.
According to Sidery, “Utah will be one of the NBA’s top sellers as they hope to bottom out to pair a young star in the draft alongside Lauri Markkanen.”

All three of these stars have been with the Jazz for at least a few years.
They have all had various levels of success in Utah, with Sexton starting an important second chapter of his career there, Clarkson becoming a vital roleplayer, and Collins coming into his own, especially on defense.
While not as big as Lauri Markkanen, these are three significant players in Utah, so it shows how serious the team is about getting better.
They have been very hesitant to commit to any trades over the last several seasons, and some fans have protested that move.
The fans think Utah should be making massive changes so they can get more support around Markkanen while he is in his prime.
It sounds like the front office is finally heading in that direction.
While the Jazz might part ways with Sexton, Clarkson, and Collins, that may not be enough to turn this season around.
Utah is currently the 14th team in the West with a 4-17 record, and the chances of them reaching the playoffs this season have almost completely slipped away, no matter what trades they make.
