Many NBA followers were surprised and disappointed when the Sacramento Kings fired Mike Brown as head coach a few weeks ago.
But now, many people are changing their opinions and feel it was a smart choice.
As noted by Bleacher Report, the Kings are 8-2 since Doug Christie took over coaching duties.
This fact is made even more impressive because the Kings have beaten some tough teams during this time.

Christie took over when the Kings battled the Los Angeles Lakers on December 28.
The Kings lost that game, and some people were concerned that Sacramento’s rough patch wasn’t ending.
But then the Kings turned things around and beat teams like the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, and Philadelphia 76ers.
They were most impressive during their 114-97 win over the reigning champion Boston Celtics.
Their only other loss since the Lakers defeat has been at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks.
On Thursday night, they took down the Houston Rockets in a very exciting and cutthroat game.
The Kings look like a completely different team under Christie and resemble the squad that caught the attention of all NBA fans just a few seasons ago.
They now have a 21-20 record and are the ninth team in the West.
Can they keep it up and move even higher in the standings and will they secure a spot in the playoffs?
The Kings will next play the Washington Wizards on Sunday, followed by the Warriors, Denver Nuggets, and New York Knicks.
If they can keep this record going, everyone will agree that firing Brown and hiring Christie was the right move because the Kings are looking like NBA royalty again.
