LeBron James has been battling Father Time for several years and he somehow continues to keep beating him.
James is still doing incredible things on the basketball court even though he is now 40 years old.
In fact, according to MaskedInLA on X, James has averaged 24.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 8.1 assists since celebrating his 40th birthday just a few weeks ago.
He has been shooting 59 percent from the field and 55 percent from the three-point line during that time too, showing that age really isn’t slowing him down.

Those are indeed impressive numbers, but no one is really shocked by James at this point.
Every single year, certain people say that James is on the verge of slowing down and falling off in a big way.
They do not understand how he can continue to play such phenomenal basketball at his age because no one has ever done this before.
Now in his 22nd season, James is averaging 23.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game.
This isn’t the most impressive part of his legacy, but it is something that fans will speak about long after James eventually retires.
The fact that he remains one of the most consequential players in the league at this age is nothing short of astonishing.
He shows some signs of fatigue and age at times, but it’s not that often, and he continues to shoot well, perform amazing assists, and read the court better than anyone else.
It’s been asked before but needs to be asked again: how much longer can James keep playing like this?
Every time he is counted out, he reminds the world why that is a huge mistake.
