Over the last five years, Zion Williamson has been one of the biggest teases in the NBA.
The New Orleans Pelicans forward has had lots of trouble staying healthy, but when he has been healthy, he has played at nearly a superstar level and has been nearly unguardable in the paint.
The Pelicans were expected by many to be a strong playoff team this season, but they instead find themselves with the worst record in the Western Conference, and thus some feel they should cash in their chips and trade Williamson.
On San Francisco Bay Area radio station 95.7 The Game, Marc Grandi said that the Golden State Warriors should trade for Williamson, but Mark Willard responded by saying Williamson has “never helped an NBA team in his life.”
.@MarcGrandi wants the Warriors to trade for Zion Williamson: “He helps you both now and in the future.”@Mark_T_Willard’s response: “He’s never helped an NBA team in his life. And that’s a fact!”

Many around the NBA have criticized Williamson for supposedly having a bad diet and not taking great care of his body, and if those accusations are true, he needs to be on a team with veterans who have enough standing to urge him to step up his training and conditioning.
The Warriors have excellent veteran leadership in Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, not to mention head coach Steve Kerr, and they have four world championships in the last decade to show for it.
But right now, they have a 20-20 record despite winning 12 of their first 15 games, and they’re hoping for some sort of trade that will give them a real shot at going far in the playoffs.
Since coming into the NBA, Williamson has played in just 193 games and has averaged 24.5 points a game on 58.7 percent field-goal shooting.
He has played in just nine contests so far this season due to a hamstring injury.
