The Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2024 World Series after defeating the New York Yankees in five games.
Although the World Series ended, the excitement around Major League Baseball continued this offseason with the loaded free-agent class of players.
Some players who have already signed include Juan Soto, Willy Adames, Corbin Burnes, and Max Fried.
Even though many big-name players have signed, there are still plenty of big names left on the market including Pete Alonso, Alex Bregman, and Roki Sasaki.
Another slugger who is still available is Anthony Santander of the Baltimore Orioles, and former MLB player Cliff Floyd doesn’t understand how he is still available.
“I don’t understand how Santander is still out there, it makes me sick,” Floyd said via MLB Network on ‘X.’

Floyd expressed how confusing it is to him that Santander is still available, especially after his performance in 2024 and being a switch hitter.
Santander came into the league in 2017 with the Orioles and has played all eight seasons of his MLB career with the team.
In 2024, Santander played in 155 games where he batted .235 with 44 home runs, 102 RBIs, and a .814 OPS.
Not only did Floyd point out the offensive stats of Santander, but he also mentioned how he has a cannon for an arm from the outfield.
At only 30 years old, Santander showed what he is capable of in 2024, and multiple teams could benefit from some more power in their lineup.
Santander will be a name to watch now that he reportedly is open to signing a short-term deal this offseason.
