Former NBA star Brandon Jennings doesn’t think Jayson Tatum is the best player in the league and he has no problem saying that.
On a recent episode of “The Gil’s Arena Show,” via NBACentral, Jennings said he does not understand how Tatum can be called one of the best players in the world after he was benched for much of the Paris Olympics over the summer.
He received some pushback for his comment but stuck with his opinion and said Tatum should have been given a lot of time in Paris if he is as good as some fans say.

The Olympics remain a black cloud looming over Tatum’s head.
While being selected to play for Team USA is always an honor no matter how much someone plays, the fact that Tatum was benched often by head coach Steve Kerr is surprising.
Kerr gave his reasoning and said it was nothing personal, but people were shocked to see so little of Tatum just weeks after he won his first championship with the Celtics.
Jennings is using that as proof that Tatum isn’t as great as the team says.
He also brought up the fact that Finals MVP and Eastern Conference Finals MVP were given to Jaylen Brown last season.
Tatum heard Jennings’ previous comments about him and responded on social media.
Will he do it again now that Jennings has said more?
Tatum has a lot of accolades and a championship ring now, but he still isn’t getting respect from Jennings.
