It’s been an interesting and complicated season for the Brooklyn Nets.
At times, they have looked better than expected and then they have been a complete mess at other moments.
There are rumors of the Nets tanking and blowing up the roster in the weeks and months ahead, but what do the players in Brooklyn think about that?
Speaking with Brian Lewis, via NBACentral, Ben Simmons said he isn’t thinking about tanking and is trying to help the team win.
He said:
“We’ve got to go in there like we want to win regardless of what the front office is expecting.”

The players in Brooklyn are in a tricky situation because they know that this season might be totally lost, but they still want to compete.
They also know that losing might actually help them with draft picks, but it probably feels totally wrong to give up games.
So, Simmons and his teammates are going to keep doing their best, no matter what the front office is thinking.
Things have not been smooth for Simmons this season and he is averaging 6.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game.
His productivity hasn’t increased as some fans had hoped and there are many questions about his future with the team.
In fact, some people think Simmons could be traded or waived by the Nets as they attempt to tank and start a long rebuilding process.
Simmons’ years with the Nets have been full of serious problems, injuries, and a declined output.
He now finds himself with a team that is contemplating their path forward and relationship with him.
