Anthony Edward started the workweek off with a bang on Monday night, scoring a vigorous 41 points, six rebounds, and seven assists in a big win over the Washington Wizards.
Following the game, Edwards opened up about how he felt playing in Washington, DC.
According to Edwards, it was just like he was at home.
Edwards stated:
“It felt like I was in Minnesota. It was crazy. My first two points were a dunk. It felt like I was at crib. That made the game a lot easier for sure.”

Edwards’ comfort level led to one of his best games of the season and a much-needed win over the Wizards.
It came just days after the Memphis Grizzlies snuck past the Timberwolves and held Edwards to just 15 points, five rebounds, and six assists.
On Monday night, he was once again looking like an All-Star and one of the most talked-about players in the league.
Edwards and his team have received some mixed reviews so far this season.
They aren’t doing as well as they were last year, and there is concern they don’t have what it takes to create another strong playoff run in the months ahead.
As for Edwards, he is still performing well (25.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game), but he has changed his emphasis and is focusing a lot more on shooting from beyond the three-point line.
This has affected other parts of his game, and some Timberwolves fans aren’t very happy about that.
But all that matters is winning, and they did that easily on Monday evening.
Edwards always does better when he is feeling confident.
Therefore, he should try to make all road games feel like ones being played at home.
